Jahtoya Means joined the Office of Academic Diversity and Inclusion as the Office Manager in August 2019 overseeing the Office Ambassador program and Campus Visit.

Jahtoya was born and raised in St. Croix, USVI and left at the age of 17 to begin her undergraduate degree career in Richmond, Virginia at Virginia Union University. She has interned with the McGuire Woods Lawfirm. After graduating at #6 of her class with a B.S. in Political Science, she was offered an administrative position at Virginia Union University. In 2016, she accepted a position with the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at UNC Charlotte and moved to Charlotte, NC with her husband. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. Jahtoya is currently enrolled in the Higher Education Leadership master’s program at Appalachain State University. She is dedicated to serving others, providing guidance to young women, and advocating for equal opportunities for minorities in higher education.
